Il Fico

Il Fico is situated on the edge of the small hamlet of Metato. This lovely semi-detached house has a beautiful terrace, small garden and inviting swimming pool with a view you will never tire of. The hamlet of Metato is perched high in the hills above the Versilia coast and has changed very little over the centuries.

This one bedroom property has been lovingly restored using traditional materials. Entry is into a small hallway which leads to a well-equipped kitchen. There is a second entrance from the kitchen leading to the garden area and the pool. On the first floor, you will find a living room which has a small mansard area with a second sleeping space for two children. Note this area is accessed by a ladder so is unsuitable for small children. Stairs lead down from the lounge to a double bedroom and a shower room.

The outside space is delightful, with a private terrace, a small pool and a view over Pietrasanta and on tot he sea. In the village, there is a small restaurant which is open several days a week. The charming owner of this cottage is an architect and he lives close by. He has a small cantina where he sells local produce including vegetables, olive oil and local wine.

Il Fico is a delightful apartment and if it’s peace and quiet you are after then look no further. It’s a small slice of Tuscan heaven.
