We had a wonderful holiday at Donnafugata Due and really regretted not being able to stay for another week. The villa is wonderful- beautifully designed and furnished with fabulous views, and very well equipped . Beds comfortable, great bathrooms and hot water- all great. The gardens and pool area are exceptional and beautifully maintained. Bruno (owner) , was very generous both with the welcome and gifts of pastries and cakes during our stay. He was so helpful in booking restaurants for us and advising on local area, parking in Ragusa etc. Probably the best villa and welcome we've ever experienced! The villa is very well located for trips out to the coast of hilltop towns, and easily walkable to the castle where we had a number of great meals at different restaurants. We very much hope to return as part of a longer trip around Sicily.
The team at Essential Italy really helped us choose the right villa for our needs and were very informative and helpful throughout both during the booking process and when we needed some assistance to sort out a flat tyre during our trip! Our Italian (lack of) definitely let us down.

We had a wonderful stay at Due. The villa is gorgeous, probably one of the nicest we've stayed in. The pool is huge and the gardens are beautiful (and much more mature than in the photographs), filled with carob trees, and wonderfully scented herbs and geraniums. The view and the sunsets were incredible. Bruno was the perfect host: helpful, hospitable and responsive to messages, but didn't intrude. We really appreciated his little presents of tomatoes, ice creams, and the wonderful Canoli! He was also very thoughtful and generous providing lovely savoury pastries for us when we arrived at the villa. July 2024

We have just returned from the most wonderful holiday at Donnafaguta.
The two villas were excellent - everything you needed and beautifully decorated. The location is superb with views of the sea in one direction and the castle the other. There are many facilities within easy reach.
Bruno, the owner, couldn’t have been more charming and helpful…from providing us with many delicious”treats” and arranging bookings of restaurants etc. Nothing was too much trouble.
This is definitely a place that we would wish to return to. July 2024

We have recently returned from a wonderful family holiday with Essential Italy in Sicily. Villa Donnafugata Due is a modern, comfortable, spacious villa in a spectacular position. Situated on a hill, surrounded by peaceful countryside and facing South West to the sea the views, particularly at sunset, are extraordinary.
The villa also has a thoughtfully planted garden and a large well-maintained swimming pool. Bruno is a very generous and welcoming host, providing us with delicious local treats which were much appreciated. We had such a lovely time in this beautiful place - it was difficult to leave.

The villa is wonderful and we very much enjoyed our stay. The space both inside and out is just wonderful, and the pool really works for swimmers - two of us swam 1km every morning. The combination of shade and sun, and the grounds with fabulous herbs and some good bird-watching were great. Sundowners looking out to the Med, just beautiful. Bruno was the perfect host, bringing us produce and tasty Sicilian specialities throughout our stay. The only thing that could be improved is turning off or reducing the lights at night, and not having movement activated lights in the bedrooms. We had a wonderful holiday, thank you. October 2023

We stayed here for 2 weeks in August 2019 with friends in the adjoining villa and had a wonderful time. Very relaxing. Location is quite rural so a car is essential but beaches supermarkets shops and restaurants are all within 20 minutes and it's a great base for exploring the gorgeous towns in this corner of Sicily. The villas are spacious, light and well equipped - including fresh vegetables in the garden and with amazing views so we were happy to stay in in the evenings. The owner, Bruno, could not have been more welcoming and helpful - from coming to meet our very late arrival in the village (with welcome dinner ) to delivery of freshly baked fruit tarts mid week.
