Our second time at this place at this time of the year. It suits us down to the ground. Very relaxing. September 2023

We spent a super 2 weeks here in September/October 2022. As it was low season by then, it was wonderfully peaceful; we almost had the beach to ourselves and there was nobody in any of the surrounding accommodation. The weather was beautifully warm (24-27C) and the apartment was well-equipped with everything you would possibly need for a relaxing stay. The double bed was very comfortable and many a pleasant hour was spent on the spacious patio, admiring the beach views and the stunning sunsets. The walk to Donnalucata is a very pleasant 20minute stroll along the beach, where there is a small user market, a fish market, various shops, some friendly bars and cafes, plus a selection of good restaurants. The gelateria ‘Blue Moon’, with its vast selection of gelato and granita was a delicious treat. Top tip - to visit the cities of Noto and Siracusa, drive the short distance to Sampieri or Scicli and take the train. You can buy the digital tickets on the trainline app and just show them on your phone. It’s a really easy way to relax and enjoy the scenery and the tickets are very cheap, by our standards. Stepping off the terrace onto the wide open sandy beach was a real treat. Well equipped house slap bang on the beach. The walk into Donnalucata takes about 30 minutes and is all on the beach. Lovely host and we had a great week with perfect weather. September 2021
