Casa Capo d’Orso

We have just returned from our 9 day stay at Casa Capo d’Orso in Sardinia. Really can not say enough great things about the location so close to Palua and wow the views from the villa were stunning. We were very happy with everything and Sarah and her daughter Francesca were so amazing with lots of information and on call any time of day. The Villa its self could do with a refresh in regards to some of the furniture pieces and the hot water system does not cater for a full load at one time but really nothing major to fault we absolutely loved our stay and would totally recommend it to friends and family. Hope to return some day as Sardinia is exceptional in its beauty. October 2024

We fell in love with Casa Capo d'Orso! The sea view is stunning, the pool large and beautiful, the beach is a 5 minute walk away, a beautiful sandy beach with Caribbean waters. The property is well maintained, garden and pool are maintained twice a week. The house is charming, only the individual rooms are very small and simple, but finally everything you need is there and you live outside most of the time anyway. We left wistfully and hope to come back again. August 2024

Little about which it is possible to complain in this superbly appointed property! Minor issues: en-suite bathroom small and a tad jaded whilst the provision of some anti-ant powder would be useful. TV irrelevant for non-Italian speakers but, on a holiday like this, who needs a tv? Sarah and Francesca were both very welcoming and helpful when queries were raised. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Casa Capo d'Orso. The view was incredible, the swimming pool of good proportions and the Villa well equipped to meet our needs. There were a few minor issues which we passed on to Francesca but none of them affected our enjoyment and were mentioned purely for the benefit of future guests. Whilst hot, there was enough shade for it not to be uncomfortable and we would certainly consider a return visit in the future. Many thanks for your help. We hired a car through Zest which worked well although the Italy Rental reception guy was unpleasant and did try to sell extra insurance, as anticipated. However, the young lady who checked us back in was more of a credit to her company. July 2023

The exterior of the villa was absolutely fabulous and we loved our stay. Inside was a little tired, the loo seat was broken and the linen was a little old. But to be honest we were outside the entire time so we didn't really mind. All the information was really helpful and Francesca was great. We will definitely book through you again. AND return to Sardinia which we LOVED! July 2023

Delighted with our Essential Italy booking experience! Always nervous when making online bookings but our special family holiday to Sardinia was fantastic! From pre departure information to the service we received at the Villa, everything was perfect. Sarah & Francesca were very helpful. Sardinia is beautiful, lush and mountainous. Casa Capo D'Orso had the most stunning view and an ideal outside entertaining space, featuring a really beautiful infinity pool. Very relaxing and peaceful. Location was great for day trips to the Maddelena islands, Costa Smeralda beaches and even Corsica, although we never got that far! Many thanks - we had a glorious week. June 2023

Amazing gardens, pool and view stunning.

Sarah was very welcoming and very helpful. We really appreciated her flexibility around arrival and departure times. Information book was very detailed and therefore most useful. The views from this house are quite amazing it really was difficult to drag ourselves away or even concentrate on our books. The beach is in easy walking distance so very hard to choose between the sea or the pool. The service from Essential Italy was seamless, thanks to all.

Casa Capo d’Orso was the perfect destination for our family group of 10, and was one of our most successful and happy holidays. The views were stunning and Sardinia a relaxing and interesting island to visit. Our private boat trip with picnic and endless wine was a real highlight, and Sarah was extremely attentive throughout. We will return next year!

Capa Casa d’Orso exceeded all of our expectations. The pool was amazing, the views magnificent and the terrace perfect for lounging… we also enjoyed some tremendous sunsets. The little Café up the road was great for Aperol Spritz sundowners and really lovely food, also great friendly service. We had a fabulous meal at La Gritta.. and the last night ate ourselves into a food coma at La Branu Agriturismo excellent food (mountains of it and the courses just kept coming!) quaint setting and great value for money. Sarah also organised us a fab boat trip with a gorgeous lunch. Many Thanks and we will hopefully be back!

Wonderful setting and fantastic view of the bay. The children loved the garden and the rock became a pirate ship, a rocket... friendly staff who were easily contactable and made our stay even more enjoyable!
