Palazzo Ferramosca

Palazzo Ferramosca dates back to the 16th century, however, the interiors are 21st century living at its best. The icing on the cake is the location in the centre of Muro Leccese with shops, bars and restaurants on your doorstep.

An unassuming wooden door leads from the narrow street into an enclosed courtyard with a second wrought iron gate into the pretty, lush gardens.

To the right of the main villa there is a spacious, modern kitchen/dining area which links to a bright, contemporary sitting room with french doors that open out on to a covered seating area. There is a small cloakroom with toilet off the kitchen area.

On the ground floor of the palazzo there are two double/twin bedrooms which share a shower room plus an external shower.

Stone steps lead from the garden to the first floor where there is a super covered terrace with seating and a view over the gardens towards the pool area.

The three first-floor bedrooms are full of natural light and have views over a small town square below. There is a large landing with a fireplace next to the corridor which leads to two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a double and a single bed with an en-suite bathroom and an outdoor heated shower (there is also an internal shower), while the other two bedrooms; a double and a twin, share a bathroom. All the bedrooms are spacious, light and airy, painted in neutral tones with an eclectic mix of art from the owners private collection on the walls.

In the centre of the garden is a large covered dining area with a table which comfortably seats 14 people and is easily accessible from the kitchen. This area is surrounded by lawns.

There are many external seating areas dotted around the grounds offering shade so you can sit in large groups, or choose to spend quiet time on your own away from the crowd.

At the end of the garden away from the Palazzo the pool is accessed via some stone steps and commands a super view over the Palazzo and grounds. In a small garden at the back of the pool area there is a table tennis table under a pergola. This table is shared with Palazzo Pappada which is next door.

This is a wonderful villa for a party of friends or family alike and the proximity to town makes it all the more special.
