Casa Serena

Casa Serena is a charming, small countryside house. If you are looking for complete privacy in a super romantic setting, then this is for you. Beautifully renovated with great care and a huge amount of style, Casa Serena is in a wonderful position amidst almond and olive trees, a real hideaway with the advantage of some lovely nearby towns for some browsing, sight-seeing and most importantly, dining! Ostuni, Martina Franca and Cisternino are perhaps the first ports-of-call should you manage to tear yourself away from the tranquillity of Casa Serena.

A lane leads to the property and you'll be thrilled from the moment you arrive. The gently rounded roof-top and white-washed walls compliment the wonderful surrounding countryside. Entry is into the kitchen, a large and airy room with wooden table and a grand selection of biscuits left by Serena, along with some soft drinks in case you are in need of a snack after your journey. A hob, coffee machine, kettle and a small fridge are perfectly adequate for rustling up some meals, bearing in mind that there is a great barbecue outside, perfect for grilling fish, meat and vegetables.

Leading off the kitchen is a beautiful small room with a divan right in front of super fireplace (should you visit in the winter, wood will be supplied for the fire and we imagine that this cosy snug will be hard to leave) where, during the summer it will be a pleasant escape from the midday heat with a good book. The romantic double bedroom has the bed tucked into an alcove and there is also a single divan bed in this room - perfect for a child. The stylish shower room incorporates some interesting tiling and beautiful porcelain saucers (you may well rush home and attempt to copy this wonderful decor).

The kitchen door opens onto a private terrace where you will spend your time during the hot summer months. Simply furnished with table and chairs, there is a barbecue for alfresco dining, a hammock for gentle snoozing, and a large, cooling jacuzzi.

On the far side of the terrace the second double bedroom with en-suite shower room can be found. This pretty room has been simply but comfortably furnished in the same style as the trullo and gives privacy to the guests whether they be friends, parents or teenagers.

Serena says that there have been many successful proposals under the stars at Casa Serena and we can well believe it and suspect there will be many more! The combination of contemporary design while maintaining the authentic, rustic features make this house unique and full of character.
